The overall operations costs of the organization were substantially higher than budgeted in 2022. This was mainly due to an increase in direct fundraising cost caused by inflation and increased expenditure on projects in Kenya and in Eastern Europe as part of the ChildsLife support program for refugee families from Ukraine.
